Step 1. Provide Accurate Load Details
Consult with your electrical contractor to provide NIE with accurate load details for your development. These details will be used to determine the size of equipment required to provide you with a supply. These must be accurate to ensure that the supply you are provided with is adequate to meet your needs.
Step 2. Locating your meter position
Locate your meter position at the nearest position to the incoming NIE supply. This will ensure the shortest cable route when providing you with a supply.
Step 3. Excavation and Reinstatement
As part of our terms you may be able to undertake the excavation and reinstatement of the cable trench. Exceptions to this include where the excavation is on public property for example roads and footpaths and NIE are required to undertake these works. All excavation and reinstatement by you requires the written consent of any 3rd party landowners.
